These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Sauceda Web Design website and any website design or development services provided by Sauceda Web Design ("we," "us," or "our"). By submitting a project inquiry or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.
Services
Sauceda Web Design provides freelance web design and front-end development services for small businesses, including but not limited to new websites, website redesigns, landing pages, portfolio websites, and ongoing website maintenance.
Specific deliverables, scope, and timelines for each project are defined in a written project agreement or quote provided before work begins.
Project Quotes
All project pricing is provided through a custom quote based on the scope of your project. Quotes are valid for the timeframe stated in the proposal unless otherwise agreed in writing.
A free homepage mockup, when offered, is provided at no cost and with no obligation to proceed with a paid project. Paid work begins only after you approve a quote and any required deposit.
Quotes may be revised if project scope changes significantly after work has begun. Any additional work outside the agreed scope will be discussed and approved before it is performed.
Payment Terms
Payment terms are outlined in your project agreement. Unless otherwise stated:
- A deposit may be required before design or development work begins
- Remaining balance is due upon project completion or according to milestones agreed in writing
- Final website files and launch support are provided after payment is received in full, unless otherwise agreed
Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the time of invoicing. Late payments may delay project delivery or launch.
Revisions
Each project includes a reasonable number of revision rounds during the design and development phases, as specified in your project agreement. Revisions are limited to the agreed project scope.
Requests for additional revisions beyond what is included, or changes that substantially alter the approved scope, may require additional time and cost. We will communicate any adjustments before proceeding.
Ownership of Completed Work
Upon receipt of full payment, you own the final website design and code created specifically for your project, subject to any third-party assets used in the project (such as licensed fonts, stock images, or plugins).
Until full payment is received, all work product remains the property of Sauceda Web Design. We reserve the right to display completed work in our portfolio unless you request otherwise in writing.
You are responsible for providing accurate content, logos, and materials you supply for your website, and for ensuring you have the right to use them.
Project Timelines
Estimated timelines are provided based on project scope, content readiness, and revision rounds. Timelines begin after the deposit is received, required materials are provided, and the project agreement is accepted.
Delays caused by late content delivery, extended revision periods, or factors outside our control may affect the completion date. We will communicate promptly if timeline adjustments are needed.
Cancellation Policy
If you choose to cancel a project after work has begun, any deposit or payments made for work already completed are non-refundable. Work completed up to the cancellation date will be delivered or made available as agreed.
If we cancel a project for reasons within our control before completion, we will provide a prorated refund for any portion of paid work not yet delivered, or deliver completed work to date, as appropriate.
Either party may terminate a project with written notice. Outstanding invoices for completed work remain due upon cancellation.
Client Responsibilities
You agree to provide timely feedback, content, and materials needed to complete your project. You are responsible for purchasing and maintaining your own domain name and web hosting unless otherwise agreed in writing.
You agree not to use our services for unlawful purposes or to request content that infringes on the rights of others.
Limitation of Liability
Sauceda Web Design provides website design and development services on a best-effort basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or services
- We are not responsible for loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities related to website downtime, third-party hosting issues, or factors outside our direct control
- Our total liability for any claim related to a project is limited to the amount you paid for that specific project
We do not guarantee specific business results, search engine rankings, or revenue outcomes from your website. We build websites designed to represent your business professionally and support your goals, but results depend on many factors beyond our control.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
